If it had not been for a ton of grease in there it would have rusted away. That bottom gear was a pickle since it had rusted to the shaft. Next time I may drill a hole just below it to allow me to get a screw driver in there to pop it loose.
Bummer.... Well now you know how to do it.. Just got to keep the sequence of the spacers/shims and bearings in the proper order.
Is the jack going to be useable or toast?
