A T-brace from the receiver hitch seems kind of cockamaime to me, but if you're willing to take the risk, by all means go for it I guess.
Would require some fab work but no reason it’s not a valid option.
Agree 9.5’ is probably the ultimate max. I’m almost 9’ and set back a couple inches so effectively 9’ camper, 6’-4” bed and no issues whatsoever.
