Lynx Levelers

Quick question.

From what I have observed, most people put their jacks on some kind of base, some around a foot or so tall. I am assuming this prevents the jacks from extending longer therefore providing a more stable lifting experience.

I am swimming in those lovely orange Lynx Levelers, even have 4 of the smooth tops. I was thinking of putting on some non-slip material on the top of the smooth blocks then stack a few under each jack.

Does this theory make sense?

How high should I sensibly stack them? One to two feet?

Lynx Leveler's strong enough? (4,500 lb camper)

Thanks!

1 or 2 feet........thats too high. I agree with Butch50. When I store I have each jack on a 2X10 pad and thats just to keep the jack base off the wet concrete. I would never trust a 2' high column of plastic levelers. Any side pressure applied to the TC while loading or unloading and London Bridge is gonna come down.

Way too much weight for any kind of a push to move a 4,500 camper, these are interlocking pads that have a******load of weight on them almost immediately.

Well I just got done taking her off. I had twenty pads, so there was only 5 under each jack and one smooth top so that was less than one foot of height under each jack. They compressed a little, but no more then when I put them under my dually when full loaded.

I will be putting a set of Torklift Camper Packers under the camper later this week, so eventually the pads will be a non-issue during storage.

  • I sure wouldn't go that high. Stack them that high without anything on them and see how stable they are. They have a very narrow base for something that high. Figure all if would take is for someone walking by you camper and bumping may start toppling one set and then the others are going to go and the camper is going down or maybe some high winds. Or on some soft ground that you didn't know was that soft and have on side sink. I wouldn't do it. Maybe 2 or 3 high maybe but not higher. Also if this is for unloading then you are not going to get it as close to the ground as before for storage.

This is IMO for what it is worth.
