I had one installed by Truck Camper Warehouse before we took delivery of our Wolf Creek 2 months ago. I didn't want the shower-curtain rod luggage rack, either. They did a great job. They used some long rails, extending past my fridge vent a bit.
TCW did me a favor and installed an extra pair of nuts in the rails' slots before the rails were mounted. That gives me the option of bolting a third cross bar to the existing rails. I pursued that option earlier this week, contacting TopLine Manufacturing by phone. They told me they don't sell parts (a pair of cross bar mounts and an 8' cross bar for a third assembly). Only kits. I figured I'd look around for other options, a little dismayed by their customer suppport. What if I bent a bar and needed a replacement? Anyway, I emailed
PerryCraft, who makes the Sport Quest rack system, about a pair of uprights and a bar. Their uprights should bolt directly into the spare set of nuts TCW installed. However, they only have 70" bars. So, I'll get a pair of their uprights and order an 8', 20mmX30mm bar from ETrailer or somewhere.
I definetly like the rails, but, what the heck? Help a man out. Jeez.
