Maintaining Window Seals

I have a decal on my TT that tells me that I must maintain my window seals every 90 days!

What do you do about that? Is there a particular recommended product to use? Are you keeping to that schedule? What if it gets neglected?

Thanks,

  • sounds to me like a CYA statement from the manufacturer. something goes wrong, they ask for documentation and reject claim.

  • 90 days may be a little too often but twice a year perhaps. Wash the seals then apply some 303 protectant or other silicone lube sparingly. The objective is to keep the rubber in good condition and so it doesn't stick to the glass frame.

:M Been there , i'll back you on that.
  • CYA, Bumpy? Seriously, I use a rubber preservative monthly then it's cocktail time! Takes about 20 minutes on my smaller TT.
