Making "Run Flat" tires?

With all the threads on tires and tire failure, I was just wondering if anyone has tried something like that green stuff to help prevent tire failure?
If it worked it might be an option to consider.

  • I prefer using a TPMS for trailer tires. Green stuff makes a real mess inside the tire. With a TPMS in the vast majority of cases you'll be alerted to the most common failure mode, a slow puncture, before the tire looses so much air that it results in a blowout. I have mine set to alert me if the pressure drops 10psi, or temp rises above a set point
