I would want to drive one 1st to see how much effort is required for the clutch and how smoothly it shifts. Stick cars are nearly effortless but I haven't driven a truck. Also, I'm thinking it might be a little harder to back slowly into the hitch with a clutch? The MPG should be slightly better.
