We spent a little over two years full timing in a 32 foot fifth wheel, moving every 13 weeks.
My tow vehicle was a 1994 Dodge 3500 CTD 4X2 with 5 speed manual tranny.
No problems.
Now, my "toy truck" is a Dodge Power wagon, 360 V8 with 4 speed manual tranny.
No problems.
The Rubicon is a 6 speed manual tranny.
No problems, even crawling over the rocks near Moab, Utah.
I wish the PT Cruiser was a five speed, but the only one I could find had 140,000 miles on it, so I bought the auto convertible.
Yes, if I was looking for a truck for towing, it would be the Dodge Ram CTD HO with 6 speed manual tranny, Probably an '03-'06.
