For me, it comes down to the matchup...which specific auto is getting into the ring with the manual tranmission?
If I could have a V10 Super Duty with a 4-speed 4R100 or a 6-manual, I'd take the 6-manual.
If I could have a V10 Super Duty with a 5-speed 5R110 Torqshift or a 6-manual, I'd take the 5R110.
If I could have a V10 Super Duty with a 4-speed 4R100 or a 6-manual, I'd take the 6-manual.
If I could have a V10 Super Duty with a 5-speed 5R110 Torqshift or a 6-manual, I'd take the 5R110.
