Wow - This topic sure turned out to be a good discussion. Since the truck will not be my daily driver, I don't have to worry about it in traffic (that's why I gave up my car with a manual). I've been driving stick on and off since I got my license and I guess I've probably put the most amount of miles on cars with sticks. I've had no issues with phone calls, eating, and drinking when I drove stick - you'd be surprised how well you can steer with your knee! :)
It's just the truck/towing part of a manual that I'm not sure of. I don't think I'll rule it out - it sounds like it could be a bunch of fun.
