Manual Transmission? Yea or Nay?
Still looking for the first truck in preparation for our first RV sometime next year and I've pretty much narrowed it down to an F2/350 with the V10. Not sure I want to roll the dice with a 6.0 Diese...

All personal choice, or preferences...there is no one size fits all
Again, I'll get a manual over an automatic for everything except for a luxury
vehicle...even my Odyssey have found many instances where I wanted a
manual tranny
Of course if used, then whatever it has with a preference for a manual if there
is a choice
Other metrics to my preference other than just liking a manual and not bothered
with it all
Cost of equivalent repair/rebuild of an automatic vs manual.
Weight difference between an automatic vs manual.
Size difference between an automatic vs manual.
And the biggie, the thermal load on the whole system difference between an automatic vs manual...
PS....that also has to do with the slippage and losses with a hydraulicly
coupled system
