Maybe we have different perspectives. I'm talking about traffic that is moving too slow for first gear....so you are constantly in/out with the clutch. Or in NY what we call it "Stop and Go" traffic, where you get going fast enough to shift into 2nd, and right when you do traffic comes to a complete stop again. If you hang back and leave any kind of space you will continually have cars cutting in ahead of you.
How about you take that favorite stick shift car and drive it midtown Manhattan traffic for a day or so and then let me know how you like it....
