OK tell me why I should support Canada over Mexico?
Let me take a stab - because the government of Mexico for the most part is corrupt-the drug gangs are running certain parts of the country? They basically (or barely) don't pay the workers a living wage to put together your truck?
Great answer and I feel the same.

The Mexican workers are making the same wage as the second tire workers make here in the Good Ole USofA (I don't know what the Canadians are making). Their cost of living is noting like it is here in the States. But it does make for a great talking point, that is if your talking to sheep!
As far as the "drug gangs" go, what you don't think that goes on up in Canada? The Hell's Angels run rampant up there just like they did in the States. Again your not talking to sheep, maybe you should change the channel and stop watching Faux Snooze and change to FM and not AM on the radio.
So your all good with GM and Ford manufacturing in other Countries then? Daewoo in South Korean made that little POS Chevy Aveo and later the Sonic. They ALL manufacture and are in bed with each other so your "I BUY ONLY AMERICAN" is pure BS. But whatever makes you feel good about your choice and helps you sleep at night I guess.
Oh BTW for the record I have nothing against my Canadian brothers to the north. I love their whiskey (Crown Royal) and their Beer (Labatts Blue) :B
Don
The pro Mexico crowd always states that going RVing in Mexico isn't cheap anymore. The food and other things are not substantially cheaper. So for the cost of living to be lower- the information here seems to be a disconnect.
You can site all you want about Canada, Detroit, or Chicago. However, there has never been a report of an American Military helicopter shooting live ammo at drug dealers down a main street here in the U.S.A. or Canada. Yes, this really happened in Mexico - Perrysburg_DodgExplorer

Don - talonheadExplorerWell, I did my part helping out Ram. I guess I got the free Cummins and Aisin (between all the incentives and dealer discount almost $13k off of MSRP) this was during March Truck Month.
It is being built in Me-hee-ko, to be delivered to SC, at which time I will drive/fly from CT to take delivery and break it in on the way home:)

Good month for ram indeed !! does not mean GM trucks aren't good enough. End of year sales will say that. GMs heavy dutys are just barely out, so those numbers aren't as high now as usual due to many waiting to buy once lots have some inventory. Will like to see the numbers after a few months into GMs HD trucks being out.
So come September and the sales are still similar what will you have to say then?
I'd say I don't give a rats azz! :R- CKNSLSExplorer

I would venture to say the half-tons carry the bulk of the (numbers) volume...and the Silverados ARE NOT good enough compared to RAM. Again, coming from a Silverado owner. - Cummins12V98Explorer III
