The vast majority of type 24 batteries aren't true deep cycle batteries - Kirkland is no different. If your in the market for a reasonably price type 24 battery my experience is that Kirkland batteries will do fine. If your into significant dry camping then type 24 probably isn't appropriate to begin with. Not sure what's available in Canada.
