Max PSI rating on Trailer Wheels?
My trailer's Alloy wheels are 15 x 6, 5-lug. The load rating stamped on them is 2150 lbs. It came with 225-75-15, load range C tires, which run 50 psi. These tires are are marginal IMO for the trail...

When I got new GY Endurance tires while on the road after a blowout, I assumed the GY dealer would put the proper tires on, at least C or maybe D. I didn't think to ask (my bad I guess). The E tires are clearly and prominently marked to be inflated to 80psi.
Is it the valve stems that are the real concern, or is the higher rated tire too strong for the wheel? Will the valve stem blow suddenly, or the wheel fracture, or an axle break, or what?
Not really understanding why the tire rating matters(as far as the wheels are concerned).
Apologize if the answer is already here and I am just missing it.
A reputable dealer wouldn't send you on your way with an unsafe setup.
If you don't trust them, have a tire dealer you do trust take a look.
If I were buying ST tires today, they would be LR E Endurance.
