It will be listed as option 53C on the window sticker when new. There are sites that you can join that will show you the window sticker after inputting a VIN number.
If looking at used trucks on a lot or private party a MaxTow f150 will have a weight rating sticker on the hitch and it will show 12,000 pounds or greater. Any other figure is a regular f150.
