A few years ago, you could simply rule out any truck on the lot that didn’t have the big mirrors, and then check the window sticker on only those few that had them.

The HDPP and Max Tow are not synonymous,the HDPP contains the features of the Max Tow, along with additional features, but the Max Tow doesn't contain all the features of the HDPP.

The GVWR rating on the HDPP is 7850, also has an additional leaf spring.

The XLT should have ~2500lbs payload rating, and a little less on the Lariat trim.

Mines is in transit now.

You can't get the Ecoboost and 10 spd transmission in the F250; an awesome combination for a daily driver. So no, not everyone would be happier with the F250.

My 2013 is Max Tow with #7700 GVWR and #4050 rear GAWR.

Max Payload F150's thru 2014 will have 7 lug wheels and #8200 GVWR.

After 2014 the Max Tow and Max Payload numbers changed and I have not really kept up on them, since it'll be a long time before I get rid of my current rig.. :)
