What does Ford use for an exhaust brake? Momentum is easy. Stopping with hot brakes on a descent while loaded is dangerous. With my exhaust brake I've measured my brake pad temps after exciting the freeway after a hill descent. Pads are usually 10deg warmer than ambient temp.
