Chevy you'd have to mix up the oil, brake, washer, coolant fill point. Ram has the awkward looking cap less system. Is it possible to add DEF to the fuel in a Ram guy's? I've read problems just fueling them unless your turn the nozzle just right.
Didn't mean no hijack Jim, and sorry about your problem. Just wondering how easy it is to miss fuel for each brand. Guess there is always a duck tape solution to turn on the bulb.

The Fill for DEF,and Diesel,on BOTH Dodge,and Ford...is under a LARGE fuel door.
..With Ford DEF ON LEFT,With Blue cap,much smaller cap....Ford,diesel on Right,with Large Green Cap....
Cannot say for sure on Dodge, but under same door.
Now,it is VERY EASY... to have a Brain Fart,and thinking ..hey,gonna finish off this jug, unscrew Wrong Cap....and,well ...we know the rest...
Locking Diesel cap ....the answer........???
