Well, a little good news. My insurance company (Met Life) stated that this is typically a covered event. In fact the person taking the claim said this was her second one this week.
I called Good Sam Roadside assistance and got here in just about an hour. It's at the shop now, and the dealer's rep said he'd have it ready for my by Friday.
