Well folks, it's done. The insurance adjuster came by to review the evidence and they agreed that it is DEF poisoning and will pay the claim. The truck is done, and I just picked it up. The final bill was just short of $11,000. I paid for it, and will submit the receipts to the insurance company for reimbursement. I can't believe how fast these guys can tackle a huge job like this. Great work Jim Click Ford.
The locking fuel cap is now installed on the truck, and I'm back in business! If I ever do this again (God forbid) you all have permission to kick me hard in the frontal area if I survive the DW's wrath.
Happy trails.
TucsonJim..
You have an incredibly competent dealer there.
To get that job done this quickly for you is just great.. :B
The fact they were confident giving you the short time frame when you took it to them and sticking to it, tells me your not the first customer they have dealt with for this issue.. :W
So don't feel your the only one that had a "brain fart" moment.
And as I tried to assure you when others were saying you would have warranty cancelations, I am sure your factory warranty is still all intact, right?
