depending on where you buy them, they can cost $450+/- to $650+/-
Each! Ouch!
yes, within a range of several inches, the hitch can be adjusted to move the front of the camper up or down .... that adjustment is made by adding/releasing air from the hitches twin airbags .... adding air not only lifts the front of the camper but in doing so, it also increases the firmness of the up and down firmness
understood on the sticker shock .... the rear OEM XRV's just under 40,000 miles ... when I had them checked, some spots were worn down to the almost being out of tread while most areas had a good many miles of tread .... back when the first came out with recaps they would shave the tread to help make the tire round .... the OEM tires didn't come balanced, somewhere along the line the tires were shaved to provide a smooth ride .... I put KTB Liquid Tire Balancethe replacements .... the ride was smooth and the rear tires lasted just over 60,000 miles .... just prior to pulling out on our current trip we installed 4 new XZE's on the rear and have a quart of KTB in each tire .... as noted earlier, the XZE's are said to last longer than the XRV's and I hope that will prove to be the case .... with our truck the second set of front tires have just over 60,000 miles on them and appear to be good to go for many more mile .... I'm sure there are other brands of tires that could be used and its likely some would be cheaper .... so far, I haven't really looked into any of them
