The suspension switch on the dash could be a dump valve to deflate (drop) the suspension. This plus an air adjustable 5th wheel ("hitch") will be nice for coupling / uncoupling operations.
I have dreams of air seats in our 3500 pickup...
Medium duty and heavy duty Allisons shift almost seamlessly under load so the vehicle accelerates without a lot of head bobbing drama...
Engine retarder power is a function of rpm - the higher the rpm the more retarder hp is available to control your downhill road speed or decelerate. The Allison should work quite aggressively with the retarder if you let it.
