I've run several sets of Michelins over the years and been very pleased. TransForce ATs came on my 2014 truck and they were down to the wear bars at 29K miles. Truck is a 2500 Ram Hemi. I really don't tow that much and drive pretty mellow.
I can't imagine all the TransForce tires perform that poorly. I think there is a special model they put on new trucks.... as in a REALLY cheap one. When shopping on Tirerack there was a label of "original equipment" and they were super cheap comparatively. I'm surprised Firestone would allow that line of tire to be associated with such poor performance. I guess my point is maybe my experience with the TransForce isn't apples to apples with what you're looking at.
Still, I'd vote for the Michelins.
