Swapped out the OEN Highway tires first 8 mos of buying truck (2007 3500 SRW)
for Michelin A/T2.
FT traveling towing 14K 5vr.
Ran rear tires at 80# and front tires at 55#.......at 60,000 miles but new tires not because they were worn out thread wise but because of towing and figured it was time for new set.
Yep.....put Michelin A/T2 back on.
Next set......considering Cooper cause don't FT travel towing constantly.
Friend of mine bought new a 2011 Superduty 350 shortbed 6.7 diesel OEM Michelin AT2's , my truck 2014 Ram 3500 shorted Megacab 6.7 diesel OEM Firestone Transforce Ht's
His truck just over 15K, pretty much used to just tow his 35' fifth wheel. His tires are over half worn out , if he sees 25-30K it will be great. Yet some brag about the Michelin, he will never replace them with another set of Michelins
My truck just over 14K , tires are over half worn out, will be happy to see 25K . mine have been rotated twice, and will be rotated again at 15K .Firestone will be the last tire I would buy. Most likely a Toyo.
The only way we can figure wear is comparing our tires to our spares . I have no idea how some are getting this 60K plus out of an all terrain tire is beyond me, and especially towing fifth wheels. Some report this great mileage, and some report poor mileage.
