Ok, I'm only going to say this once because to me it feels like I'm saying I made love to a goat last night. :B
The next set of tires I'm going to put on my Dmax is going to be Mic...........the next set of tires I'm going to put on my Dmax is going to be Michelins.
There, I said it. I had to make my fingers type that. They didn't want to, and it makes me sick to my stomach to type that.
My truck needs a new set of tires and I went and talked to my tire guy the other day. I told him I wanted a price on some Toyo's and Bridgestones and a few others. My friend ask me what I wanted in a tire. I told him and he said I want a set of Michelins. I threw up in my mouth a little bit after he said that.
I told him about the 10 or so tires I had blow up in my driveway and all the cracking issues they had. He said that Michelins did have BIG problems years ago but that is a thing of the past.
I trust this guy. We raced together and he is a straight up guy and not a salesman.
So I guess Mic.............Mich..........Michelins it is. (still makes me sick to my stomach to type that) :R
Don't go for the LTX A/T2's.... because they come as original equipment on Ford F350's I am watching my second set wear at an unbelievable rate .... same as the first set. We ran Bridgestone Duravis (can't remember the model number) on our Duramax and got about 70,000 miles out of a set.....almost 3x what we can get out of A/T2's. I would say the Duravis have similar ride, handling and traction characteristics.
