Misc items needed

I second the basic stuff only, we have very little spare space for things we don't need but as a traveler more than a camper we seldom go more than a day or two that we can't stop at WalMart or somewhere to get what we forgot or didn't know we needed. Even after 30+ years of camping we still find things we need and things we no longer use each year or each trip. We have a few items that go in for standard trips to specific destinations and stays home the rest of the time.
If you plan to camp some place for an extended time your first time out you may want to camp in your drive for 24 hours and see how many times you run into the house for things you needed.
