GM was not offering many incentives on new trucks, and are almost out of 2013s. They took a strategic approach. Now truck shoppers will be forced into the 2014s.

This is one reason. Another reason is that GM is still only building the 2014 in a crew cab. The regular cab which is what the commercial buyers will want is just starting to be built.

You sure about that? I saw two '14 Sierra reg cabs at my local dealer this past Sunday while driving through their lot

They are out there, just not in numbers, and not in significant numbers to effect September sales.
