- Dog_FolksExplorerI don't tip people for doing their job,(except wait staff.)
If they do something extra, I always tip. - K_CharlesExplorerDid he do the job good enough that you would use him again?
- Golden_HVACExplorerI think that a $20 tip will really improve the mechanic's day! Or even if you have a sandwich ready for lunch? Perhaps a couple of soda's? It is a seasonal campsite, so it is likely that the mechanic can not go to the local hamburger joint in a couple of minutes at break time or lunch.
It was not the mechanic's fault that the part failed, he is just making the situation better, and correcting the problem.
Have a great day, and I hope that everything works out well, the mechanic does not need to return for something like a missing dowel pin or something. . .
Fred. - Vet_ManExplorerI wait to see how well the job is done and how big the job is. I do not tip a waitress until I see if I am happy with there service. To answer your question, yes, if job is done to my satisfaction.
- Mandalay_ParrExplorerI follow my heart. I tip most of the time but it just depends.
