Mods / Admin question -- New Senior Member status?

What are the alternatives to the forum seniority system?

Popularity? Do we give each other likes or reps or thumbs down and such? Can we vote someone off the forum? Maybe we can earn an immunity idol by being extra popular.

How about a meritocracy? We score you based on how useful you post or reply. How many actually read your post. The best rise to the top.

Yeah, that should work. And when you reach exalted status, you get to start a thread and then immediately close it so you get the last word and no one can disagree with you. :R

Or stop showing the number of posts after a certain number has been reached?

A "Senior Member" is one whose opinions should be taken as real truth, due to his/her vast experience and knowledge.

With promotions, demotions may also occur. Pass the popcorn!
