As mentioned the oem gauge is just an idiot light.
A mild tune will awaken the 7.3, however the tranny is the weak link.
The mower power you throw at it. The more you increase your chances of trans. issues.
You can go the BTS route for a fully modified trans. that can handle the additional power if you are all in.
