Mods to my new TT

I bought a new Snowriver 234RBS and have started doing mods:

1) Put a chain in the in ceiling TV so it does not bounce down on the slide corner in transit
2) installed a small LED next to bathroom switch. It is on the opposite wall from the door, so now I can find the switch in the dark
3) installed 4 USB charging ports below Kitchen counter for charging cell phones and e-books
4) installed 2 12 V jacks below counter for portable vacuum.
5) installed 2 6v Golf cart batteries, high capacity. Nearly put my back out they weigh over 100 lbs each.
6) installed Sirius Satellite docking station & tied into DVD player. Fortunately there was a nearby sewer vent to run antenna next to up onto the roof.

Still to do

Install a pass through sine wave inverter to power bedside plugs, outside bar fridge & in ceiling TV when not plugged in, remove Norcold off the same circuit so it does not run off inverter as well..
Install the built in Surge Guard power protector I removed from my old RV
Install a rear view camera
Coat the entire chassis with Everbrite to protect it against salt air in Mexico.
Apply 303 protectant on Rubber roof
Move fridge to its own breaker
Put a switch inside to turn outside kitchen fridge on or off.

here are some photos

Sirius docking station:

12v outlets

USB outlets

Led light to find light switch in bath. Its not near the door.. Stays on all the time, little current draw. Bright enough to take a pee in middle of night.

Remount of Lippert slide control board so you can see it & reset it. Plus it gets it off the ground in case something leaks under there. The strip above I installed to tap the 12 v off for the 12 v & USB outlets with separate 10 amp fuses..

In ceiling TV anchor so it does not bounce down & hit slide corner

FM modulator to back feed TV sound to DVD

  • Does the modulator work well? My Roadster Replay has one of those built in but I never knew you could get one separate. I just hooked up my TV in the kitchen and was peeved that I couldn't get the sound to go thru the stereo.

Another question is what do you know about the 303 protectant? Why would you need to apply that to the roof? I'm new to RV life so please forgive my dumb questions.
  • probably more money as well. The guy came out of the shop toting one in each hand. he was built like a football player. i could barely lift one. my 65 year old back is still sore 5 days later. Just muscles I think (& hope). One reason is my built in TV is A/C only so I have to use an inverter and I want it to last awhile without having to run a genny. I spend winters in Mexico and power down there is iffy, & my surgeguard cuts it out a lot. When you can buy 1st run movie DVD's in a street market for 30 cents each, we watch a lot of them in the eves.
  • Those are some sweet batteries.
Beats the he11 out of my Costco's!
