Mopeka propane tank sensor

I recently replaced batteries on my Mopeka propane tank level monitor. One of the tanks is not producing a reading on the monitor. I read that sometime the rubber pad on the bottom of the sensor can cause a problem. I have not been able to find a remedy/resolution, or to just buy replacement replacement pads. any suggestions or alternatives?

What is the whisper system? Never heard that term before

An RV Monitoring System -- it requires you to provide a wifi signal it can access and you have to provide connectivity to the internet for it to fully function. https://rvwhisper.com/
  • I thought I would add that the the Mopeka propane sensors now work with the RV Whisper monitor system so you can see your propane levels over time and get email and text message alerts if your propane runs low.

If you have the Mopeka sensors already, they need a certain minimum firmware version to be compatible with the RV Whisper system, but if they do, you can just add them as additional bluetooth wireless sensors to your RV Whisper system.
  • New ones include a little tube of dielectric grease to put on the rubber to keep them from sticking. We just got ours installed today. Two sensors, wall monitor and wifi gateway. Definitely recommend getting the Halo spacers instead of using the small metal ones included with the sensors.
  • Fixed it with a little sanding on the bottom of the propane tank to clean it and then applying a small dab of vaseline to sensor contact and bottom of tank where sensor touches.
  • contact their customer support via email. about a year ago one of my 2 sensors stopped working after battery replacement. the customer service rep asked me to photo the front and back of it, email it to them. they shipped me a new one free of charge
