I tried them a few years ago but at that time they gave you rubber spacers to raise tanks to gain space for the sensors and both on my sensors got crushed over time spent bouncing around on the rubber feet. The sensors worked pretty well with the app but the remote wall mount wasn’t very accurate. I think they have since made the spacers out of metal to protect the sensors . I now use a hand held device , Truma propane tank gas lp level checker.

I'm using the sensors with their iphone app. They've worked well for me, and I'd buy them again. Mine came with metal feet, and the support ring on one of my tanks was too thick to accommodate the feet, so I crafted some wood feet, which worked fine. The only downside is that batteries seem to last only about 6 months.

Been using them for 4 years with no issues. Support has been excellent. Originals came with the rubber feet but they sent me upgraded metal feet that have worked very well. Battery life is about 6 months but not an issue for me since it is a bluetooth transmitter so you have to expect the batteries will run down. They do seem to be quite accurate based on my pattern of refills.

Awesome product, but they do eat batteries.

I will use them on whatever RV I have in the future.


They have made the case thinner now, and spacers aren't needed. If you see them packed with spacers, it's old inventory.

I bought the Tank Halos for mine, which are big rubbed rings that take the place of the spacers.

I use them on my RPod and BBQ. I tried one on my 30lb horizontal propane tank in my Outfitter and had two issues. One is that there was insufficient space between the tank and the bottom of the enclosure. The other issue is that the propane tank enclosure is all metal and the bluetooth signal couldn't get out.

I might have to experiment with an external antenna sometime.

And they never replied to my questions about that situation.

They sent me replacement feet that were machined from aluminum for free...
The sensors were more trouble then they were worth in my eyes..
I removed them and started using a hand held again..

I've had not an issue just a tad over 2 years.
Monitor two 20# tanks in camper. For me I like them, alot.
Mine came with the original rubber tank-spacers, Mopeka also sent me the aluminum replacement spacers. As far as I know they come with them now.
Havent seen the new ones mentioned that don't require spacers on the tank,

I have another I use in shop to monitor heater tank and BBQ.

We monitor two 20# tanks. When they're working, they're great. But when we take out a tank to refill it, getting the monitor to work after putting the tank back is sometimes fussy. All things considered, we'd get them again.

Brand new tank so no issues there. But it does not read correctly more often than not. I have not followed up with tech support yet. I'm absolutely brand new to truck campers or any RV for that matter. I thought it would be a hassle to manually check the tank, but it's really not much trouble.
