Correct. A 2015 Charger Hellcat or Challenger Hellcat would smoke a stock Superbird. I think the 0-60 time of high 4's for a stock Superbird is a little optimistic, but regardless, I agree with your point. The 1970 Plymouth Superbird is still my favorite car of all time in any of the 3 combinations it came with (440 4 barrel, 440 6 barrel, 426 Hemi). But, for overall performance, today's muscle cars are superior. Technology is great.

I will say that when something goes wrong under the hood, I can address it in a Superbird. For a new Hellcat, I would have to go to the dealer.

They're finally matching the top end of the 1970 Superbird -the ULTIMATE muscle car (note the number of doors - just joking for you "sedan muscle car" fans). Of course the new breeds handle better are safer and get better fuel economy. But they now have 45 more years of technology to help them out!

I own a 2013 Charger. It is a great car built on a great chassis. I get up to 31 mpg on the freeway. It is an upscale grannies car.
If I were going to have 700hp it would not be in a charger.

Figured the mileage would be better. Had a 90 Corvette and would get near 30 at 60mph.
