I drive a 14 year old 3/4 truck that weighs about 7,800# empty, and can get 20 mph driving 65 on the freeway, 14 mpg city driving.
That and it will pull a 11,000# 5er at speed up 6% grades.
Yes as a 43 year Ford owner, I LOVE my Ram Cummins! Sure beats both of my F250's with 460's.

Funny pic! The Ecoboost is a good engine,just not for everybody. Its probably that the owner believed the hype and found out it wont fit his needs. People sure are touchy over their trucks.

Be willing to bet somewhere in America an attorney is revving up a class action suit for F 150 EcoBoost owners alleging Ford fudged the fuel mileage figures, like what happened to Hyundai and Kia. Now that's the American way......

I'm getting better mpgs driving my 13 Eco than I did driving my 97 5.4 on the same daily commute. About 3-4 mpg better.

The 97 got a best of 17 mpg on the hwy. My Eco has gotten 21 mpg on the hwy. I avg 17 mpg on my daily commute now compared to 13-14 mpg with the 97.

We have no idea how this guy drives his 2.7 eco... ;) I can make my mpg drop a ton too.. But, I still do have fun with the eco and still get those mpg figures.

My 3.5 Eco walks all over that old 5.4 in terms of power and "eco".. :) I'm getting the exact mpg ratings that the window sticker says I'm supposed to be getting, so dunno what's up with that??

But, buy into the hype or not. Buy something else if it makes you feel better... The point is, make up your own mind and not what the internet says...
