Nope you drive an Isuzu.
It is NOT an Isuzu engine, but their engineers contributed much of the mechanical design. GM (Delco) did all the electronics.
And now 100% owned by GM
No not 100% owned by GM, Isuzu gets the royalties, upgrades the engine. They have a partnership or had one to develop the basics of the Colorado/Dmax - RobertRyanExplorer

Not saying it's not a good engine, but it's a good engine, with really great marketing behind it.
It's aspirational marketing, but once you put your foot in it, it becomes inspirational, and you simply do not care.
The "Eco" part of the "Boost" is left somewhere a few miles back, and nobody cares, because they still have the Boost part. - kaydeejayExplorer

I know what you mean. A number of years ago, I wondered if you drive a Ford Taurus SHO....if that meant you drove a Yamaha...as it had a Yamaha engine...or if you drove a Ford pickup...did it mean you drove an International / Navistar ?
Or if you drove a Dodge/Ram pickup diesel...is it a Cummins ?
Hard to know. - TerryallanExplorer II

Nope you drive an Isuzu. - bguyExplorerI would have put #3 first.
I always say if you want the best mileage from your truck, or any vehicle, you need to drive like it's slippery all the time. - DutchmenSportExplorerAt times like this, it makes me glad I drive a Chevy!
