Still $2.67 in southwest Idaho. You guys are making me feel bad.
I drove from Dallas to Boise to buy my new 2015 GMC 2500 because Dillon GMC beat all the Texas, Arkansas & Louisiana dealers by $6,000 on the identical truck. I walked in and even showed them the deal confirmation and offered to buy local if they would just come within $1,000 of the deal so I wouldn't have to make the drive. All refused, so I went to Boise. Could it be Diesel trucks didn't sell as well up North?
No, there are a ton of diesels up here. Per capita I'd actually guess Idaho is among the highest of the states in terms of diesel trucks on the road. Our gas tends to be expensive here too - generally in the top 10 most expensive states. Our problem is that there aren't any refineries in Idaho and all our fuel has to be shipped up from SLC, and there aren't enough players involved to keep it competitive. Boise itself tends to run a little higher than the rest of the state, too.
It sounds like you made a nice road trip out of it. I bought my Ram from Dennis Dillon around the first of June and the closest dealer was still $1500 higher than their no hassle price. Dave Smith was $5000 higher, which shocked me. I'd definitely buy from them again, although I hope to keep this truck a lot of years. - hbillsmithExplorer

- Bionic_ManExplorerI just filled up for $1.09/gallon - after I used my $1/gallon discount from the grocery store. Even $2.09/gallon makes me smile.
