Also, pop-ups are OK, but if you want to get in and out often, you'll not want to jack it up and down every time you stop. So, think hard-side. And the hard-side allows much better bath/shower facility.
It is a myth that pop-tops don't have head room. _Most_ pop-tops have _more_ head room than hard sided campers. Also, OUTFITTER has a true basement so things like shower plumbing are underneath your feet - - not taking up room on the deck level. Not sure why an inside shower is anything to brag about in the back country, anyway. Anyone who is placing luxury ahead of practicality can't be getting very far into the back country.
Even in our Caribou 6.5, there is enough room to prepare food, sit down at the table, and use it without popping the top. But if I feel like taking a nap after lunch, it is _nothing_ to pop the top and climb into bed. People that would try to scare you away from a pop-top for such flimsy reasons have too much time on their hands !
