I get the feeling I'm the object of some of your objections. If what I do, and honestly so, so offends your RV inner male, just delete me from your forum list. I will no longer be offensive. After owning 14, 4WD's and 1.5M miles in said 4WD's, and being an off road writer for two off road web sites (off-road.com and 4X4wire.com), there is a carry over technique, a transposition if you will, that tries to solve the problems of RV physics in the off road realm. I have approached these problems over and over on this forum. What offends me is a couple guys who have approaching no sign of Trip Reports....at all; just theoretical whoopla. Where's your stuff? I tried. I searched. I came away empty handed. I only found people trying to justify their choices. I found a pic of Testudo's OUTFITTER! in it's customary position of repose. I have news for you: there is no perfect TC. I don't care which TC you wind up with, only that you love it as much as I love my aging Lance; worts and all.
I have to admit that my trip reports have some kind of entertainment value, but it takes all kinds, and that's a good thing. If anyone learns anything along the way, that's a good thing too.
You'll notice that WHAZOO is rarely on this forum now-o-days? There is a reason. He went through a period of ne'er do wells picking on his tongue an cheek style. He, of all people does not have to put up with that. Not for a minute. I'm here for the duration in my cast iron (not aluminum) underoos.
