Motor Trends long term Ram Ecodiesel

Interesting in reading Motor Trends long term test of their Ram Ecodiesel. The CEL comes on only 1 time and the dealership replaces the cat. Too bad us regular consumers weren't treated that way. Also read were the Ram Ecodiesel in Edmunds long term test left them stranded. Seems like they were not getting any preferential treatment. Come on FCA, you have a huge problem with the emission systems on these Ecodiesel engines. Just do what ever it takes to fix the problem.

    All of these problems will be worked out, but this is why i will never buy a NEW first time engine or drive train in a car or truck. Yes they have been tested, BUT when put on the road in real working conditions, these minor issues, sometimes major will pop up. Wait until the second or third year before plunking down those big $$$.

    Maybe that is why in the commercial. They just show it running downhill, and not carrying, or towing anything. :B
