Have you ever seen an RV leave a factory with locks on the propane storage compartments?
NFPA code 58 restricts locks on propane compartments.
Yes, you can buy locks to secure the cylinders in the compartment, but not the access to them.
The valves must be readily accessible in the event of an emergency.
The code does not prevent the ignorant person from locking access. You are free to do what you want.
Plus you're free to post such ignorant advice on a public forum and hang around and argue its validity.
