I think I have contributed to the thread. Although the thread has morphed from installing propane tanks on bumpers to locking cylinder compartments. I have pointed out that the NFPA restricts locking propane compartments; something many posters, including, your self were unaware of.
Furthermore the NFPA specifies the proper locations for hauling or attaching propane cylinders on vehicles. And I can assure you that hauling a propane cylinder on the rear bumpper is not one of them.
My point is to simply discourage someone doing something that is unsafe in my opinion. And that is to mount a propane cylinder on a bumper or lock a propane compartment.
But as usual there are those that want to argue an opinion, and will get their way by trying to shut someone down as your quote is trying to do.
Unbeknown to you, I have contributed to this post. Much more in a positive way than you have. Encouraging someone to do something that has inherent safety hazards is downright irresponsible.
