I'm the same way. Dynamic loads cause issues. I want one by the door and one in the bed area, but don't want them rolling around, getting knocked over, etc. Want to keep them stationary without pulling screws out of the walls.
When I wrote the initial post, I think I was considering "hanging" one near the bed. I think that's a bad idea without it sitting on a surface with the bracket simply keeping it in place.
