Hi Vinsil - we tow a 16 x 8-1/2 body tandem axle Cargo Mate wt about 6000lbs loaded behind the truck and camper. Light duty trailer for bikes.
We use a Torklift Super Hitch/Super Truss setup with an Air Safe coupler and enough WD pressure to move about 250lbs to the steer axle. The Air Safe is a secret weapon... the truck and camper rides better with the trailer than without.
Sketching a rear porch design to allow easier access in and out of the camper when hooked up to the trailer. Our camper has a nice big aluminum stair that slides into the basement that can't be used till we unhook. I'm thinking on a porch that sits on the trailer hitch frame available when hooked up.
Also planning a side awning and some mods to the trailer to make it more usable in camp for added living space.
