So thinking of going back to an enclosed trailer. Had one before, a 8.5x20. Currently tow a 7x16' flatbed with our polaris rzr xp41000 and some camping gear. Thinking of a 7x18' this time, but the idea of being able put a car in it has me wanting to get another 8.5' wide...have never pulled an enclosed trailer behind my truck/camper so wondering if it will make any difference.Those that own and tow enclosed...thoughts? Also...brands? Had a Pace before and my dad had Interstate...both worked and seemed simuliar in quality. I'd like to keep price around 7-8k....and 5k axles...+8 tall...and some other minor options. i can add the rest....

I tow enclosed snowmachine trailers, both two and four placed trailers. Go with the 8.5' width. While someone can prove scientifically the narrower trailer will give you better mileage, you'll never notice it. And make sure the trailer is tall enough to handle a taller machine with light bars incase your next one is taller.As far as which brand, they all make models from entry trailers that you probably don't want to very good ones.Bill

Thanks Bill. I figured +6 at the least...going +8" to cover the future for sure. I figure my TC is not aerodynamic so the trailer wouldn't make a difference...

Seriously, couldn't care less which one is behind the camper; truck doesn't care.Trailer brand..? it's a box on an axle. There's differences, but it's not a Chevy to Rolls amount. Mostly preference on little details and looks. All these years later and I really don't have a preference.

If finances allow, go with all aluminum. No rust issues and lighter.I also like the idea of 8.5' wide and I wish I had gone with the 8' tall version. It would have more closely matched the camper height and would have given me more than enough room for any additional lift on my Jeep.Post pics when you get it.

I am checking enclosed trailers as well and I figured out you can drive mid-sized car into 8'x 16' V-nose. I drove wide body trailers and the additional 6 inches do make it harder. I also think about future trip to Mexico, where even 8 foot wide gives you about 2 inches clearance between leaving your mirror on opposite vehicle, or rolling down the ditch. Than there is regional pricing. West Coast is very expensive, but you can find custom build trailer in eastern states for 1/2 price. I am planning to order 10,000lb axles. Just in case I want to rent a Bobcat...

I had a Road Force enclosed before and if I got another it would be an Aluma trailer. All Aluminum. I now have a flat bed Aluma and had a shorter Aluma before this and really like the way they are made. They are more expensive than many but are really nice units.

8.5x20 for sure.

A 7x18 will seem like a tunnel inside. I've never seen an 18' enclosed trailer when I've looked at the various brands. 18 and 22 are two lengths that are odd, and rare.

I love my 8.5x20 and over the last 2 years, that's the only trailer I've towed behind my rig.

Wells Cargo / Haulmark will make any size you want for height, most other trailer builders are the same. They increment them in 6" additional height.

TORSION AXLES!

When hauling light weight loads, torsion axle suspension isn't going to bounce like a leaf spring suspension does.

I just picked up a 26' 10k Wells Cargo Road Force brand new last summer. I have it set up so I can either take my SxS and quad or my Corvette.

It is also my support rig. I have 600w of solar on the roof, an MPPT controller, 3 batteries and a 1.8KW inverter in it. All that open roof space was just begging to have solar put on it. I carry literally everything to make a trip a vacation. Traeger's Texas Pro 075 big smoker, a big 6-burner house-type bbq, the solar runs an 18CuFt full size refer, stand-alone portable icemaker and nice stereo. I also put a motorized 20' awning on it.

I'm under the 10k rating, just depends on whether I'm taking the toys or the vette. Toys, about 8600. Car, near the 10,000.

And actually, I want to find out more about the AirSafe receiver that 06Fargo mentioned above.
