Moved from Kansas to Florida, storing questions

The Air Force decided they needed us in NorthWest Florida more than they needed us in Kansas, I'm not mad about their decision;-) I have nothing against KS, had a great time there and met wonderful people, the base change was needed though.

It gets hot and humid in KS, and of course it's a little more consistently humid in FL, do I need to do anything special when I store my TT?

We are still living in it right now, have been for about a month, but will be moving into a house in a week. In KS I always left the roof vents open while it was in the storage lot and never had a problem, how should I keep it parked here to make sure it doesn't get all moldy and stuff?

Thanks for any info.

  • I've lived in South FL for many years. I simply leave the roof vents open, assuming they have covers, and all is well. Never had a mold/mildew problem in 40+ years.

The fact is, RV's tend to be leaky teepees anyway. Far from being airtight.

I store it on a good angle to be sure rain water doesn't stand on the roof.

    Besides that, nothing else.

Enjoy the Panhandle. A beautiful part of the state. Not nearly as humid as South FL where we live.
