We have the same truck, but we also have the 6.7L diesel engine. We went from a 9K fifth wheel to a 12.5K fifth wheel and we notice some difference, especially in mountains, but it still pulls it and handles it like a HOSS.
I think from pulling our 35' TT to our 36' 5'er, it was a much, much easier tow, better ride and the towing down interstate highways was much, much easier since we didn't have as much length to get wonky with semis passing us.
