More hard numbers. My 5004 lbs, dry weight TT crosses the CAT scales at 6200 lbs. when loaded for the road. Of the TTs 6200 lbs, 750 appears on the tongue.
My F-150's max cargo is 1411 lbs. So with the 750 lbs. of tongue weight, two adults, a large dog and camp gear, we reached our max cargo limit.
My towing weight rating is 9500 lbs. My combines TT and TV rating is 15,000 lbs. Neither of these numbers are a problem. However I have run out of cargo capacity. Fortunately, cargo capacity is vehicle specific some have more some have less. The max cargo limit is usually posted on the door jamb.
