In truth. The high price of fuel has a greater effect on your normal everyday life than it does on your vacation. While the extra $1.50 per gallon does hit you hard when towing. It hit's harder on you every day commute. A month worth of gas was $85.00, Now it's $170.00. So the high prices are taking money out of the economy, and holding it back.
It's easier to find an extra $80.00 for a vacation, Than it is an extra $85.00 per month to get to work.
